About Us

EREK Law & Consultancy was founded in Istanbul in 2019 by S. Sevde EREK KIRILMAZ, following years of professional experience gained at both corporate and boutique law firms. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at Istanbul Bilgi University in 2012 and was admitted to the Istanbul Bar in 2013 after completing her legal internship at one of Türkiye’s leading law firms. She subsequently completed her LL.M. in Economic Law at Istanbul Bilgi University in 2017. During her postgraduate studies, she spent a semester as an exchange student at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany, where she had the opportunity to study German law and develop a comparative perspective on the Turkish and German legal systems.

Today, at EREK Law & Consultancy, we bring this professional experience together with a direct and solution-oriented approach to provide boutique legal services to both local and global clients. By placing our clients’ needs and the specific circumstances of each matter at the center of our practice, we provide hands-on legal support at every stage, from advisory to dispute resolution.

Intellectual property law is one of our principal areas of expertise. We provide legal advisory and litigation services across a broad range of intellectual property matters, from cinema and other audiovisual works to publishing, musical works, software, and architectural works. In addition, we assist our clients in various other areas of law, including commercial disputes, real estate and inheritance matters, family law, and personal data protection.

As we provide our services in Turkish, English, and German, we are able to communicate directly and effectively with our international clients throughout every stage of the legal process, including matters relating to foreign investment and citizenship, ensuring that legal matters in Türkiye are handled in a clear, accessible, and reliable manner.
